The Project also works in the development of communication skills of students in rural schools: high speed Internet connections and computers are installed and teachers are trained to teach the children to communicate with other farming communities in consuming countries through classroom exchange websites.
- Fermento na Massa also runs a Computer Lab in the town of Areado, at the João Lourenço Municipal School, for public school students. This is a partnership with Cecafé, the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council in its Digital Inclusion Project. Presently there are one hundred students attending these classes with free access to the Internet.
- The Saint Peter Parish, in Alfenas, offers to destitute students a preparation course to the exams for the University, allowing them the opportunity to get a better life quality by the education. The Coffee Friends Program supports this project managed by Father Waldemilson, though Fermento na Massa Association.
